Railway Signalling Engineering offers you an exciting and rewarding career. There are major projects under way including London Undergrounds massive renewals leading up to the Olympic games and NetworkRails countrywide maintainence and renewal schemes to meet the demanding rise in customer needs.

What has Railway Signalling Engineering got to offer you? The answer is simple, a rewarding and worthwhile career. The equipment you could be working with varies considerably to include, mechanical, electo-mechanical, hydraulic and eletronic technology. As well as the two largest employers within this field (NetworkRail and London Tubelines) there are many contracting and sub-contracting Companies and agencies involved which means that there are many opportunities to develop a career to meet your needs.

Signalling engineering can broadly be divided into four distinct categories: Design, Installation, Testing and Maintainance. Probably the most common entry for new comers is via installation or maintainance. Within these categories alone there are many opportunities to progress. For example:

     Assistant Installer-Installer-Team Leader.

Beyond that there are opportunities to gain Supervisory and Management grades. Alternatively you may decide to change progression from Installer to Tester or to enter Maintainance

   i)   You certificate of completion will greatly enhance your chance of interview.

   ii) At interview you will impress beyond belief your underpinning knowledge of the subject.

   iii) On entry to your new position you will have the foundation to immediatly progress your learning from work place experience.

This course in its conventional form can cost up to £500. It is available in its distance learning format with help line available for only £90 + £5 pp
